Traditional Dental Bridges Are a Fast, Affordable Solution
The traditional dental bridge consists of two crowns with artificial teeth (pontics) positioned between them. The bridge is held in place by your natural teeth (called "abutment teeth" in this case) on either side of the gap. These teeth will be reshaped to accept the crowns. Once in position, the artificial teeth (pontics) will fill the gap in your smile.
Traditional dental bridges are a quick way to replace a missing tooth, but Smile Designer of Leesburg makes the process nearly immediate. While many practices take two weeks to place a dental bridge, we can often do it in one day using our state-of-the-art CEREC technology, which allows us to design and create your bridge while you wait.
Implant-Supported Bridges
Implant-Supported Bridges Promote Long-Term Health
Unlike traditional dental bridges that require support from other teeth, an implant-supported bridge stands on its own. It is supported by dental implants, which are titanium devices inserted into the jawbone to replace lost tooth roots. Implants not only provide excellent support, but also stimulate your jawbone in a way that prevents the bone recession that follows tooth loss.
If you are missing one tooth, a single dental implant will be used to support a dental crown. If you are missing several teeth in a row, then two implants will be used to support the bridge at either end. Because implant-supported bridges are self-supporting, they are ideal for replacing unreliable cantilever bridges.
"Dr. Han Is Amazing."
Absolutely love Smile Designer of Leesburg. The front office staff is always friendly and accommodating. Dr. Han is amazing. I have severe dentist anxiety and he's been extremely patient and empathetic during my lengthy procedures. He thoroughly explains the procedures and answers all my questions in a kind manner. I couldn't ask for a better dentist!
Read More Google ReviewsI just had my appointment today as a new patient and loved every second of it! Everyone is so welcoming and very eager to answer any questions. They are also very informative about what they are doing and if they see anything that’s worth noting. There is parking right in the back so that was convenient ... Overall a great experience!! When Dr. Ju came in she went over each of my X-rays with me and explained anything she was going to keep an eye on. 10/10 recommend!
